Default They have anti-farm code, now what about anti-quit and anti-leech code?

If they have the capability of monitoring farming, what about quitters and leechers?

How to incorporate? *shrug*

I can think of a few deterrents for it though. Modify the account holders PC names globally so that the color is different. So people making pve/pvp groups can actively know before getting screwed by the players "habits" (like identifying PK'ers in Ultima Online)

Using an anti-quit/leech code to temporarily block the account from the specific activities.

i.e. (quitters) If you quit an "x" number of times in a "x" amount of time or whatever variables... fine you can't start or be invited into a group for "x" amount of time or till you complete "x" amount of missions or whatever with henchies only.

i.e. (leechers) Use whatever variables needed to identify leechers/afk farmers... fine, account is blocked for "x" amount of time from the mission/zone/battle

Or maybe you can mouse-over characters and find out stats about them. (I mean come on, if you can track how many minutes a character has been DRUNK and award them a title, then you should be able to track and see if a person has quit player groups x amount of times today), but as soon as you assign a value to it, people would probably go for a "high score" so the anti-quit/leech code stuff would still be needed

Though henchmen work ok, I do prefer to play an ONLINE game with people that are actually ONLINE. However there's very little "commitment" involved to retain an ammount of "quality" with parties. If anet has the commitment to alter skills and develop code at whim to deter massive ease of farming, then the least they could do is prevent grief players and exploiters from tainting the gameplay experience of those of us who care.

Various suggestions to improve Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry

Quote:
0. Greatly Improved Ignore list (by GrendelScout1)
Refer the example for an idea of how this would work:
1. John know Mary is a leecher, AFKer
2. John adds Mary to his ignore list
3. John clicks "Enter Mission" in any random arenas
4. John will never be placed in the same team with Mary

5. Other players who did not add Mary to their ignore list could be teamed up with Mary

6. Friends of John who know and trust his judgement also place Mary in thier respective ignore lists.
7. John and his friends live happily ever after.

Tracking quitters is always going be hard, what about if everyone dies, and instead of waiting for the leader to hit the "Return to Outpost", you decide to leave? That marks you as a quitter for a valid situation. It seems like the whole stats thing on the boards is going a bit overboard, its just a game, if people want to start taking it that seriously, refer to real life. Its just unfortunate that there are more reasons for quitters these days than before, its always been a problem.

This kind of idea was brought up in another thread. And with it came all the problems of how you define a 'quitter'; or how to tell the difference between someone who just 'quits' and someone who has a reason for why they left (err 7, obligations, jerk on team, etc., etc.)

It's not as black and white as you make it out to be and there would be too many problems implimenting this.

"Anti quit" code will just plain not work. Besides what if something crops up in game? You can neither quit nor go AFK. This is a game, people do have this thing known as lives outside of this game, be it a distracting pet or a kid who spilled food all over the floor or a crying baby in the next room or even an unexpected phone call from you boss.

Sorry to say, if measures get too draconian I'd just quit this game, not like this latest installation is SO FULFILLING!!11111 either.

Just remove all faction points from the losers and get it over and done with already.

I like the idea of the ignore list but reading the certain issues I think that the ignore list idea rules!

thought this could be abused some one shouting around your a leecher and then you can't get in a game for an hour...actually thinking about it people could be total basterds and tell you to pay money or they'll say your a leecher
